CDLSearchMatch (“CDLSearchMatch”, “we”, “us”) operates a driver-to-carrier matching service at cdlsearchmatch.ai. This policy explains what we collect from CDL drivers and motor carriers, how we use it, and who we share it with. It applies to our website, the driver portal, the carrier and recruiter portals, and to our email, SMS, and phone communications.
Mobile information and SMS consent
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number, and the consent you give to receive text messages, are used only to operate the CDLSearchMatch service described in this policy.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party for their own marketing, and are excluded from every category of sharing described in “Who we share information with” below.
SMS consent is optional and is collected on its own unchecked checkbox at signup. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of using CDLSearchMatch— you can build a profile, be matched, and be hired without ever agreeing to text messages. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOPto any message, or by turning text messages off under Privacy & contact in your driver portal. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies and depends on your activity — typically no more than a few messages per month.
Full terms for the messaging program, including the exact messages we send, are in our SMS Terms of Service.
Information we collect
From drivers
- Contact details — name, mobile number, email address, city, state, and ZIP code.
- Professional qualifications — CDL class, endorsements, years and months of driving experience, equipment experience, and the routes and schedules you prefer.
- Safety and eligibility history — accidents, moving and serious violations, DUI history, drug and alcohol testing status, and background-check status, where you provide it or authorize us to obtain it.
- Job preferences — desired pay, home-time requirements, preferred locations and equipment, and any deal-breakers you record.
- Communications — records of emails, text messages, and phone calls with us, including AI-assisted screening calls, which may be recorded and transcribed where you have consented and where law permits.
From carriers and recruiters
- Company details, DOT and MC numbers, job postings, hiring criteria, and billing information.
Automatically
- Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use information
- To build your driver profile and match it against open positions.
- To tell you about matches, and to remind you to finish or refresh your profile — by email, SMS, or phone, according to the consents you gave.
- To screen and verify applications, including AI-assisted screening calls where you consented to them.
- To operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
- To meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal effects without human review. Match scores rank and prioritize; they do not themselves hire or reject anyone.
Who we share information with
Matching drivers with carriers is the service, so some sharing is inherent to it. Here is exactly how it works.
Carriers do not see your contact details by default. When you match a position, the carrier sees your qualifications and general location with your phone number and email address masked. Your full contact details are revealed to a specific carrier only when that carrier purchases your lead in order to contact you about the position — which is the outcome you signed up for.
| Recipient | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Matched carriers & their recruiters | Qualifications and general location; contact details only after purchasing your lead | To contact you about a driving position |
| Service providers | Only what each needs — messaging, telephony, email delivery, payment processing, hosting, analytics | To run the service on our behalf, under contract |
| Legal and safety | What the law requires | Legal process, fraud prevention, safety of persons |
| Business transfer | Information covered by this policy | Merger, acquisition, or sale of assets |
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing. As stated above, mobile numbers and SMS consent are excluded from all sharing except with the messaging provider that delivers the messages you asked for.
Your choices and rights
- Text messages — reply STOP to any message, or turn them off in your profile.
- Email — use the unsubscribe link in any message.
- Phone and AI-assisted calls — withdraw consent in your profile, or tell us on any call.
- Access, correction, deletion — sign in to your driver portal, or email us and we will act on your request as required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act — including the right to know what we hold, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
How long we keep information
We keep driver profiles while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. We keep records of consent, opt-outs, and transactions for as long as required to show compliance with messaging, tax, and employment-related regulations, which may be longer than the life of your account. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely so that we do not contact you again in error.
Security
Access to driver information is restricted to the accounts that need it. Carrier access to contact details is gated behind lead purchase and logged. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
CDLSearchMatch is for commercial drivers and the companies that hire them. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes affecting how we contact you will be communicated before they take effect.
